REQUIREMENTS FOR REALTOR MEMBERSHIP
1. A valid Alaska real estate license or appraiser certificate, and actively engaged in the real estate Profession (copy of license/certificate must be attached).
2. A place of business (for primary members, or acceptable proof of Membership in another Board for Secondary membership).
3. No record of official sanctions involving unprofessional conduct.
4. No recent or pending bankruptcy.
5. Completed the Association indoctrination course within 90 days of the date of application. (you will be notified of the date).
6. Signified intention to abide by the Constitution, Bylaws, Policy and Rules and Regulations of the local Association, State Association and the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®.
7. Signified intention to abide by the NATIONAL ASOCIATION OF REALTORS® Code of Ethics.
8. The application form must be completely filled out and signed by the applicant at the time the applicant’s license is activated by the Broker. REALTOR® dues are computed from the same date. Completed application, application fee and dues will be returned to: Kenai Peninsula Association of REALTORS® 35599 Kenai Spur Highway, Soldotna.
9. The applicant’s name will be submitted to the Board of Directors for review.
10. The applicant will be notified of his/her acceptance. The applicant is responsible for attending one of the two following monthly meetings of the Kenai Peninsula Association of REALTORS® to be installed as a new member.
